CDGK ‘Cleanup Week’ launched
The City District Government Karachi’s (CDGK) ‘Cleanup Week’, that began from yesterday, will see the participation of 1200 vehicles and machinery along with over 2000 workers to put the city in order.
Addressing a press conference at Civic Center on Wednesday, City Administrator Fazal-ur-Rehman said that despite facing a shortage of resources, CDGK would not let the ‘Cleanup Week’ be affected. “The Sindh government has released all funds and efforts are also underway to enhance the resources of city government.”
The administrator Karachi said that currently they were not facing any hurdle in the continuation of development projects, adding, “Projects would be carried on while the financial problems of the towns will also be solved.”
Rehman said that no major loss was seen in the city during the recent rains as the city government and towns worked with full collaboration. “Now we are starting the fumigation work in the city,” he informed.
