Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has energised KESC’s Hospital Grid Station on Friday, which will improve power supply position to various areas of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Jamal, Mujahid Colony, Pehlwan Goth, Askari-IV and adjoining areas. With addition of this grid, the total number of KESC’s grid stations all across the extra high tension system of its coverage zone stand at 60, of which eight have been launched during the current Abraaj-led management. On Friday, two 40-MVA power transformers and the house transformers of the grid have been energised, which would supply electricity to 22 feeders. Located in Block No 16 of Gulistan-e-Johar, this grid would improve voltage profile and stabilise power supply to the connected areas and would also cater to the future load growth and clearance of backlog applications for new connections. The grid would be formally inaugurated in the near future.
