NGO arranges media visit to three schools
A non-governmental organisation (NGO) Concern For Children CFC) has arranged on Wednesday visit of media to three schools, being facilitated under its project entitled ‘Project Kitab’. All three schools, Sir Syed Academy, Noor Public School and Al-Akza Public were located in Machar Colony, one of the underdeveloped areas of metropolis. These schools were provided with financial assistance for the structural uplift, trainings, administrative support and a subsidy of Rs 500 per month for each teacher. The two-year project was launched nine months ago, with the financial assistance of about $15,000. Besides, local donors and supporters also assisted the NGO for schools’ renovation. At the time of project launch, total registered students and teachers of all three schools were 329 and 15 respectively.
